These bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers are a flavor-packed appetizer perfect for any gathering. Cream cheese and cheddar fill spicy jalapeños, all wrapped in crispy bacon for a smoky, cheesy bite that’s always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12-16 fresh jalapeño peppers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12-16 slices bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or prepare your grill for medium heat.
  2. Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Wear gloves to protect your hands.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until smooth.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half.
  5. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with a slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if needed.
  6. Place the poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or directly on the grill grates.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or grill for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the bacon is crispy and the jalapeños are tender.
  8. Remove from oven or grill and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a milder flavor, remove all seeds and membranes from the jalapeños.
  • For extra spice, leave some seeds in.
  • You can use other cheeses like Monterey Jack or pepper jack.
  • If grilling, be sure to watch them closely to prevent burning.
