Make a perfectly balanced, tart, and sweet Lemon Drop Martini using fresh lemon juice and a classic sugared rim. This recipe is quick and refreshing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Vodka
  • 1 oz Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz Simple syrup
  • 0.5 oz Orange liqueur (Triple Sec or Cointreau)
  • Lemon wedge for garnish
  • Granulated sugar for rim

Instructions

  1. Moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass with a lemon wedge.
  2. Roll the outer edge of the rim in granulated sugar to coat it evenly. Set the glass aside.
  3. Combine the vodka, fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and orange liqueur in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  4. Shake well until the shaker is very cold, about 15 to 20 seconds.
  5. Strain the mixture into the prepared, sugared martini glass.
  6. Garnish with a lemon wedge or a lemon twist.

Notes

  • Adjust the simple syrup amount if you prefer a tarter drink; use 0.5 oz instead of 0.75 oz.
  • For a cleaner look, use Cointreau instead of standard Triple Sec.
  • Chill your martini glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes before mixing for the best result.
