Enjoy a gooey, s’mores-inspired dessert cooked over a campfire or bonfire. This recipe stuffs a banana with chocolate and marshmallows, wraps it in foil, and heats it until melted and delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons mini marshmallows
  • 1 piece heavy-duty aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Cut a slit lengthwise down the center of the banana, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  2. Gently open the banana peel to create a pocket.
  3. Stuff the chocolate chips and marshmallows into the pocket of the banana.
  4. Wrap the stuffed banana securely in aluminum foil.
  5. Place the foil-wrapped banana directly into the embers of a campfire or bonfire.
  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the chocolate and marshmallows are melted and gooey.
  7. Carefully remove the banana from the fire using tongs.
  8. Let it cool slightly before unwrapping and enjoying with a spoon.

Notes

  • Use ripe bananas for the best flavor and texture.
  • You can add other toppings like peanut butter or caramel if desired.
  • Ensure the foil is tightly sealed to prevent leakage.
  • Adjust cooking time based on the heat of your fire.
