You asked for the famous sweet and creamy Grape Salad from Chicken Salad Chick, and we delivered! This easy copycat recipe combines juicy grapes, a rich cream cheese dressing, and a crunchy pecan topping. It is a perfect side dish for potlucks or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds seedless grapes (a mix of red and green works best)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the grapes. Place them in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the creamy dressing over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all the grapes are evenly coated. Be careful not to crush the grapes.
  5. Spread the grape mixture into a serving dish.
  6. In a small bowl, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar. Sprinkle this topping evenly over the surface of the salad.
  7. Cover the dish and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.

Notes

  • You can make this salad a day ahead of time. Keep it covered in the refrigerator.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
  • If you prefer a different crunch, substitute walnuts for the pecans in the topping.
