A simple, homemade recipe for a creamy and flavorful dip using fresh dill, perfect for vegetables, chips, or crackers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl. Beat with an electric mixer until smooth.
  2. Add the sour cream, chopped fresh dill, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and lemon juice to the bowl.
  3. Mix on low speed until all ingredients are just combined and the dip is smooth. Do not overmix.
  4. Cover the bowl and chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to blend.
  5. Serve cold with your choice of vegetables, chips, or crackers.

Notes

  • For a tangier dip, substitute half of the sour cream with plain Greek yogurt.
  • If you prefer a dill pickle flavor, add 2 tablespoons of finely chopped dill pickles and reduce the salt slightly.
  • You can prepare this dip up to 2 days ahead of time; store it tightly covered in the refrigerator.
