Make a delicious white pizza replacing tomato sauce with a creamy garlic and cheese base. This recipe yields a restaurant-style pizza at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven and pizza stone (if using) to 475 degrees Fahrenheit. If you do not have a stone, use a baking sheet.
  2. Stretch or roll your pizza dough into a 12 to 14-inch circle. Place it on a lightly floured pizza peel or parchment paper.
  3. Prepare the white sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, heavy cream, salt, and pepper until combined.
  4. Spread the white sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border for the crust.
  5. Dollop small spoonfuls of the ricotta cheese over the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
  8. Remove the pizza from the oven. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley before slicing and serving immediately.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, place your pizza stone in the oven while it preheats for at least 30 minutes.
  • You can add sliced mushrooms or cooked chicken to this pizza before baking for variation.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor in the creamy sauce.
