Whip up a taste of the tropics with this refreshing Frozen Pineapple Margarita! It’s the perfect icy cocktail for parties or a fun weeknight treat, blending sweet pineapple with zesty lime and tequila for a slushy delight.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup tequila
  • 1/2 cup lime juice (freshly squeezed is best)
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup water or more, as needed
  • Ice cubes (optional, for extra thickness)
  • Salt or sugar, for rimming glasses (optional)
  • Pineapple wedges or lime slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glasses: If desired, run a lime wedge around the rims of your glasses and dip them in salt or sugar.
  2. Combine ingredients: In a blender, add the frozen pineapple chunks, tequila, lime juice, pineapple juice, and water.
  3. Blend until smooth: Blend on high speed until the mixture is thick and slushy. If it’s too thick, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time. If you prefer it thicker, add a few ice cubes and blend again.
  4. Serve immediately: Pour the margarita into your prepared glasses.
  5. Garnish: Add a pineapple wedge or lime slice to each glass if you like.

Notes

  • For a non-alcoholic version, omit the tequila and increase the pineapple juice and water.
  • Adjust the sweetness by adding a touch of agave nectar or simple syrup if needed.
  • You can use canned pineapple chunks that have been frozen for a quicker option.
