Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons milk (optional, for thinning)
Instructions
Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the bowl.
Beat the mixture with an electric mixer or a sturdy whisk until it is completely smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
If the dip seems too thick, mix in the milk one tablespoon at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
Serve immediately with fresh fruit or chill for 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a slight citrus flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of lemon zest to the mixture.
You can substitute brown sugar for powdered sugar, but you may need to beat the dip longer to remove lumps.
This dip pairs well with strawberries, grapes, apple slices, and melon.
