Prepare flavorful salmon fillets with Dijon mustard and garlic cooked in easy-to-clean foil packets, suitable for baking, grilling, or air frying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup asparagus spears or green beans

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If grilling, preheat the grill to medium heat.
  2. Tear off four large pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil, about 18 inches long.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the Dijon mustard, olive oil, minced garlic, dill, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place one salmon fillet in the center of each foil piece.
  5. Spoon the mustard mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet.
  6. Arrange asparagus or green beans around the salmon in each packet. Top each fillet with two lemon slices.
  7. Fold the foil over the salmon and seal the edges tightly to create a secure packet. Crimp the edges well to prevent leaks.
  8. Place the packets on a baking sheet or directly on the grill grates.
  9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or grill for 10 to 14 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  10. Carefully open the packets (steam will escape) and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For air frying, place packets in the basket and cook at 380°F (195°C) for 10 to 12 minutes.
  • If you prefer a milder flavor, substitute half of the Dijon mustard with mayonnaise.
  • You can substitute the vegetables with sliced zucchini or cherry tomatoes.
