Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Chai Latte:
  • 4 cups water
  • 4 chai tea bags (or 4 tablespoons loose leaf chai)
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 2-4 tablespoons sweetener (honey, maple syrup, or sugar), to taste
  • Ice
  • For the Pumpkin Cold Foam:
  • 1/2 cup milk (heavy cream or half-and-half for best results)
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon sweetener (maple syrup or sugar)
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Brew the Chai: In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the chai tea bags or loose leaf chai. Let steep for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Strain and Sweeten: Remove the tea bags or strain out the loose leaf tea. Stir in your preferred sweetener until dissolved. Let the chai concentrate cool slightly.
  3. Prepare the Foam: In a small bowl or jar, combine the milk, pumpkin puree, sweetener, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract.
  4. Froth the Foam: Use a milk frother, immersion blender, or whisk vigorously until the mixture is thick and foamy.
  5. Assemble the Lattes: Fill glasses with ice. Pour the cooled chai concentrate into the glasses, filling them about halfway.
  6. Add Milk: Top off the glasses with milk, leaving some room for the foam.
  7. Add Cold Foam: Gently spoon the pumpkin cold foam over the top of each latte.
  8. Serve: Enjoy your homemade Iced Chai Latte with Pumpkin Cold Foam immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of sweetener to your personal preference.
  • For a stronger chai flavor, steep the tea for a longer period.
  • If you don’t have pumpkin pie spice, you can mix cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and a pinch of cloves.
  • Heavy cream or half-and-half will create the richest foam.
