Make these simple, no-bake protein balls using oats and peanut butter for a quick, high-protein snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup vanilla or chocolate protein powder
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed or chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2-4 tablespoons water or milk (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Combine the rolled oats, peanut butter, protein powder, flaxseed, sweetener, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl.
  2. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until a thick, uniform dough forms. If the mixture is too dry, add water or milk one tablespoon at a time until it holds together.
  3. Roll the mixture into small, bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the finished balls on a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, substitute almond butter for peanut butter.
  • Store the protein balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • If you prefer a sweeter treat, add 2 tablespoons of mini chocolate chips to the mixture.
