Ingredients
Scale
1 (32 ounce) bag frozen cooked meatballs
1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, undrained
1 cup teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
Instructions
Place frozen meatballs in your slow cooker.
In a bowl, whisk together pineapple chunks (with their juice), teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and ground ginger.
Pour the sauce mixture over the meatballs.
Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours, or on high for 1.5-2 hours, until meatballs are heated through and sauce has thickened.
Stir occasionally if possible.
Serve hot, perhaps over rice or as an appetizer.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, you can mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water and stir it into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
Garnish with sesame seeds or chopped green onions for extra flavor and presentation.
This recipe is easily doubled for larger gatherings.
