- 3 large ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
- 1 cup cucumber, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 3 tablespoons Tajín Clásico Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional, for extra heat)
- 1/4 cup chamoy sauce (optional, for drizzling)
- Prepare the mangoes by peeling them and cutting the flesh into bite-sized cubes.
- Combine the diced mango, pineapple chunks, and diced cucumber in a medium bowl.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the fresh lime juice and the Tajín seasoning. Add the optional chili powder if you want more spice.
- Pour the lime and seasoning mixture over the fruit. Gently toss everything together until the fruit is evenly coated.
- Chill the fruit mixture in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- To serve, spoon the fruit mixture into individual small bowls or hollowed-out small cups (like small pineapple halves or orange peels).
- Drizzle with chamoy sauce, if using, just before serving.
Notes
- Select mangoes that are slightly soft to the touch but not mushy for the best flavor and texture.
- If you do not have Tajín, you can mix 2 tablespoons of chili powder, 1 tablespoon of salt, and 1 tablespoon of dehydrated lime juice powder.
- Watermelon or jicama are good additions to this fruit mix.
- For a thicker coating, mix the Tajín directly with a small amount of lime juice to create a paste before tossing with the fruit.
