Ingredients
Scale
3 large ripe bananas, peeled, sliced, and frozen
1 cup frozen strawberries
2 tablespoons plant milk (optional, use only if needed for blending)
Instructions
Place the frozen banana slices and frozen strawberries into a high-powered blender or food processor.
Begin blending on a low speed, stopping frequently to scrape down the sides.
Continue blending. The mixture will look crumbly at first, then it will start to form a thick paste.
If the mixture is too thick for your machine to process, add one tablespoon of plant milk at a time, blending after each addition, until the mixture moves freely and resembles soft serve ice cream. Do not add too much liquid.
Serve immediately for a soft serve consistency, or transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 30 minutes for a firmer texture.
Notes
For the best texture, ensure your bananas are very ripe before freezing them.
If you prefer a sweeter taste, add 1 teaspoon of maple syrup before blending.
You can substitute the strawberries with another frozen berry for a different flavor profile.
