You can make this smoky, buttery Texas Roadhouse Style Salmon right in your oven. It bakes quickly, resulting in incredibly tender and flaky fillets with a rich glaze that tastes just like the restaurant favorite. This is a perfect, easy dinner for busy weeknights or when you want to impress guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • For the Glaze:
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a little kick)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for simple cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve better texture. Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil over the salmon. In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Sprinkle this seasoning mix evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  4. Prepare the glaze: In another small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, honey, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper, if using.
  5. Brush about half of the glaze mixture evenly over the tops of the seasoned salmon fillets.
  6. Bake the salmon for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of your fillets, until the salmon is nearly cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the salmon.
  8. Return the salmon to the oven and bake for another 2 to 3 minutes, just until the glaze is bubbly and slightly caramelized. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
  9. Serve your moist and juicy salmon immediately. We love pairing this with mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For the crispiest skin, place the salmon skin-side down on a wire rack set over the baking sheet before baking.
  • If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, mince 1 clove of fresh garlic and add it to your glaze mixture.
  • This recipe is great for meal prep; leftovers store well in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
