Ingredients
Scale
- 6 oz fresh pink grapefruit juice
- 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz simple syrup (or agave nectar)
- 4 oz chilled club soda or sparkling water
- Pinch of salt
- Grapefruit wedge, for garnish
- Lime wheel, for garnish
Instructions
- Chill a tall glass, such as a highball or Collins glass.
- Combine the grapefruit juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and salt in the chilled glass.
- Fill the glass completely with ice.
- Stir the mixture gently to combine the ingredients and chill them.
- Top the drink with the club soda or sparkling water.
- Stir briefly once more, being careful not to flatten the bubbles.
- Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and a lime wheel before serving immediately.
Notes
- For a deeper flavor, use sparkling grapefruit soda instead of club soda, but reduce or omit the simple syrup.
- If you prefer a salt rim, moisten the rim of the glass with a lime wedge and dip it into fine sea salt before adding ice.
- To make simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water and heat until the sugar dissolves. Cool completely before using.
